The Oak Ridge Boys were asking each other, “Who is the person that first taught us about love, living, friends, God, and the other important things in our lives?” We agreed that would be our mothers. Down deep in our hearts, we all felt we were “mama’s boys. In this album, there are heartfelt songs, spiritual songs, memories of growing up, songs about being taught life’s lessons, and fun songs about eating way too much of mama’s home cookin’. We all had a great time singing about the things that mama taught us.
